Mata Jiwa is a reflection of fifteen years of writer's personal exploration on the essence of tradition of the people of Tenganan Pagringsingan, a village in the East of Bali, accompanied with Amalia's intimate and reflective photographs collected over four years. The community of Tenganan Pagringsingan preserves ancient lifestyle, belief and laws to this day. Their rituals are unique and exclusively theirs. The village is world known for its double ikat cloth, grinsing.
